Art for Change is an organization that uses the power of art to target issues relating to topics such as mental health, the environment, and more, in order to help make our community a better place. We do this through activities such as hosting fundraisers where we will sell items handmade by the students to raise money for charity, and other various projects to advocate for change.

Along with using art as a means to bring change, Art for Change gives students the opportunity to use art to express themselves. Our organization embraces different forms of art, such as drawing, painting, sculpting, photography, and more. This allows students to use their creativity to make various types of artwork. At the end of the semester we will showcase the art made by members of Art for Change to exhibit the artistic talent we have here at NYIT.

Some students leave their love and passion for art because they feel as if they are not able to incorporate it into their busy schedules. We encourage students to take a moment to pause in their fast paced life and spend some time with us doing something that gives them joy. We welcome all students interested in art. No prior artistic skills are required.
