Green Club is the first environmental club to be introduced at NYIT. Green Club provides the knowledge and resources, members, faculty, and peers will need to make a difference, big or small, in our environment and encourage sustainability. NYIT Green Club aims to educate and improve understanding of the world’s environmental issues, in order to inspire and encourage the community to address these issues with the resources provided for them. We hope to develop our community’s interest in sustainability and contribute to the progression of a healthier planet all while having fun. We will also look into New York chapters of nation wide environment organizations such as NYWEA in order to conduct research and find ways to impact the community locally and statewide. The research and activities that we have planned for the near future will allow members to build their resumes and involvement in school and out of school.
