Alpha Chi Rho, LI
The honorable fraternity of Alpha Chi Rho was founded on June 4th, 1895 at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Today, we have spread to 30 chapters and colonies across the nation. Our utmost goal is promoting core values and providing great opportunities, allowing our members to excel in both present and future endeavors. Alpha Chi Rho is a charter member of the North-American Interfraternity Conference. Our New York Tech chapter Eta Chi Phi was founded on April 28th, 1990 and is currently 30 years strong. Bound by brotherhood, Alpha Chi Rho cultivates lifelong friendships and leadership skills.
As an organization, we expand the horizons of our members through 4 principles what is better known as the Landmarks:
- Membership from among those who are prepared to realize in word and deed, the Brotherhood of all men.
- The insistence on a high and clean moral standard.
- The paramount duty of Brotherly love among members.
- Judgment not by externals, but by intrinsic worth; no one is denied membership in Alpha Chi Rho because of race, creed or nationality.
Since 1990, AXP has always been diverse in members from all backgrounds while upholding these landmarks. We hold philanthropic work to a high regard, working with Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps families build and improve places to call home. Alpha Chi Rho educates and empowers our members on the values of Character, Honor, and Integrity.
